Makena Surf B-204

Second time staying at this condo. The location is prime! We saw several whales from our lanai even this late in the season. We spotted spinner dolphins as well which was fantastic. Fortunately my husband brought binoculars to really zoom in on the whales in the distance. We really enjoy this particular condo due to its proximity to the beach and the pool. It is nicely appointed inside as well. No BBQ on lanai like last year. There are some available at the pool though. Construction was sill happening at the pool near condo B on a rock wall they were installing. I assumed they were finished since the project started last year. So that was noisy when at the pool. Looks like they will be done soon. There is another pool to use but I just like the proximity to our unit. We had everything we needed and made ourselves at home in this beautiful condo. The only disappointment was having to leave to go home.

We arrived to find a well equipped, clean and comfortable vacation rental. The location met our needs. The view and access to the beach was perfect. It also had relaxing pools and BBQ area that we used. The landscaping and grounds were well maintained. The management team was very pleasant and helpful and were there for us if we needed anything or had questions.

Been to Makena Surf numerous times over the past 25 years. B-204 has tremendous view, clean, comfortable, great location next to beach, 2nd pool with barbecues, tennis courts. Only negative comment is a few sundries should be included (e.g., soap, small bottles of body wash/shampoo/conditioner).

This was our first time using VIP and coming to this property. We loved loved the property as a whole. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful!!! Loved sitting having coffee every morning with the beach and ocean right in front of us. Loved hitting the pool with our boys late morning while they dove for their toys and played in the pool! Loved playing on the beach every afternoon and watching the amazing sunsets either from the beach or from our Lanai! The unit was spacious, clean and fully stocked including everything you need in a kitchen, everything! We also had beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and a wagon to make the beach more enjoyable. Temperatures in the unit were always perfect thanks the AC and garbage and recycling just outside the door to make it easy for us every time we headed to the pool. We cooked every night and had everything we needed to do so. There were plenty of spices as well there to use. Wendi and Carol were very quick to respond with any questions and responded immediately if we needed anything additional. They rocked! Overall, great location with amazing views! We will be back to this unit/complex and will definitely look to use VIP again!

We had an amazing time at Makena Surf and our condo. It was perfect!

I've stayed in building C before so I knew how beautiful the location is. The condo itself needs a real big deep clean. It smelled very musty when we first entered like it had been closed up for quite a while. We spent the first hour cleaning counters, tables, coffee tables so we could put our groceries and things away. The showers had mold/mildew in them. We reached out and had them come clean. Upon return it smelled like bleach. However, the mold in showers was not cleaned properly.
This condo needs a deep clean. The kitchen cabinets contained food that should not be kept long term and even a presciption cough syrup.
We could tell this condo had not had a cleaning even though we paid a cleaning fee.

Grade A all the way around, the pictures associated with the unit are real, I cannot imagine ever renting anywhere else. Beach and facilities are clean and well kept, location is Great close to anything you might want or need.

Best view of the ocean possible. Pool was warm and very clean. Loved the landscaping. Orchids were blooming everywhere. Property well maintained inside and out. We spent all of our time outside on the lanai, on the beach, in the ocean or in the pool. On the rare occasions we had to be inside, the kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. The bathroom boasted a large beautiful walk-in shower that we utilized frequently. The bed was comfortable and we slept well every night. Loved having a telescope to spot sea life in the ocean. Very impressed by the beautiful touches inside the home. Great lighting, fantastic black out shades to keep inside cool while we were out on an adventure. Nice dishes, lovely Hawaiian artwork that brought the Maui vibe. I’m a resort girl at heart but this condo exceeded my expectations. Our son traveled with us this trip. He has stayed at many condos throughout the islands with friends and he said this was the best rental condo he has ever stayed based on location and quality of condo and surrounding property. Truly a gem.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Makena Surf condo. The condo was clean and very spacious. The west facing deck was perfect for watching the amazing Maui sunsets. The kitchen was well stocked with lots pots and pans, good knives, and lots of dishes. There were several beach chairs, an umbrella, and wagon that made our time at the beach very comfortable.

I reached out with a few questions upon arrival and received a very prompt reply.

I would love to return to the condo for another vacation and would recommend this rental to anyone!

This was the perfect location, leaving the back doors open and listening to the waves crash all day and smell the sea breeze was incredible. Great amenities, loved having plenty of beach chairs and towels. The beach was quiet and perfect for body boarding and snorkeling. Community grounds were well kept and filled with kind people and service workers. Really an amazing place to stay.

Makena Surf B-204 was fabulous. The views were unmatched and accommodations were just as shown on the VRBO website. We were pleased and hope to be back someday soon.

Valley Isle were just so amazing to work with. Wendy was very communicative and really helped me make some necessary changes due to covid. The condo was stunning and when a small issue came up with a shower handle they credited us very generously. all in all could not have been happier with the team and our stay, thanks to everyone.

My teenagers who never think anything is cool all said "WOW" when they saw this place and that view! Very clean, beautiful property. Had everything we would need or want for our family trip. We could have sat on the lanai and watched the waves all day. Amazing place!

We traveled with our two twenty something kids and my mother and we all loved this condo! The view was so perfect that it didn’t seem real and the sliding wall of doors opened our living room to paradise. The complex was peaceful, meticulously maintained and the plants were amazing. The direct sidewalk to the beach and the use of the condos chairs and umbrella were wonderful. We stayed on the small quiet beach for hours on end and even snorkeled at the cove right off the beach. The star gazing was epic and and again with the view, but the sun setting behind the island in the distance was beautiful each night. The kitchen was very well appointed, though we didn’t cook any meals, only sandwiches and breakfast, had we wanted to, we would have had everything we could have needed. The comfy furniture was great for a late night family movie and the rooms were perfectly dark and quiet for a good nights sleep. This is a less touristy and quieter part of Maui, which we loved, while still only being 10min from restaurants and shopping. This condo was a great find and I would highly recommend!

Absolutely breathtaking! View, View, View and steps to the beach. The condo was well appointed, immaculate, and the indoor/outdoor living with the sliding glass doors was awesome. Sitting on the deck and watching the sunset was a favorite along with swimming with the sea turtles! Yes, turtles! We snorkeled at the beach just in front of the condo and there were sea turtles! The condo had all of the beach gear we needed. There were 6 adults and 3 children under the age of two and we were very comfortable. Our grandson hardly moved all night, the built-in sound machine of the ocean waves helped him sleep all night! It was the perfect Hawaiian vacation, relaxing and beautiful! We didn't want to leave!

The view took our breath away! We enjoyed our time here so much. The location is wonderful. We had a few small issues in the condo but the property manager was incredibly responsive and fixed everything promptly. Overall, 5 stars!

Great location. Good snorkeling with many turtles. Nice property, well appointed and comfortable. Especially liked that beach chairs and umbrella were provided.
